LIFTED UP COMMUNITY CHOIRS

Why Our Members Love Lifted Up!
We asked our members why they love being a part of Lifted Up Community Choirs.
Here's what they had to say...
The Lifted Up Community Choir is positive, supportive and uplifting.
It's joyful and does not require me to be a good singer.
Best of all, I find it so much cheaper and better than therapy.
- Claudine, Alto -
Joining Lifted Up has changed my life for the better. I have been a singer and been in choirs my whole life, but working with Day in the choir has enabled me to push my vocal abilities so much further than I ever thought I could.

Joining the choir has given me a place to grow vocally and mentally. Singing is such as big part of my life, it's so therapeutic and to have this place when I am encouraged, appreciated, and safe is of the highest value to me.
- Shannon, Soprano -
Choir has been a lifeline. I'm so glad I've found it.
There's something magical about singing with others, we become more than the sum of our own parts. I have grown musically and personally with this highly supportive group.
Day is passionate about us getting it right and I've enjoyed his motivational chats, just the right amount of realism and optimism.
Lifted Up choir, lifts my soul every week.
- Naomi, Alto -
To be part of the Lifted Up community choir is incredibly special.

Surrounded by such an inspiring group of people, each week we continue to grow musically and personally, both as a unit and as individuals.

The support you feel from the other members is priceless, and I wouldn't want to sing with anyone else.
- Caitlin, Soprano -
In March 2020 I stopped singing when the world shut down. Singing was my life for decades. I sang professionally, became a vocal coach, ran community choirs and trained singing for health facilitators. I thought my singing days were done as I couldn't find a group locally that was musically both fun and high quality. Then I found LUCC.

Day & Nathan are a fantastic combination of leader & accompanist. Accomplished, firm and heartful. Friendly folk come who work really hard & have a laugh.
I can't recommend this choir enough.
- Phoene, Alto -
One of the great joys in life is to stand in a gospel choir approaching 100 people and to sing and listen as a Mahalia Jackson original bursts and breaks out.
